Admission Details

Eligibility

  • Unmarried female, and divorcee ladies / male candidates will be eligible for the B.Sc. Nursing course. The selection of the candidates will be made on written test as well as interview by selection committee of Nursing College as per norms laid down by Nursing council of India as well as Jiwaji University Gwalior, M.P.
  • The minimum educational requirement shall be higher secondary (10+2) / Pre-university with 50% of marks in P.C.B.E group.
  • The minimum age shall be 17 yrs completed on or before 1st July of year of admission with higher age limit is ordinarily 24 years.
  • No candidate shall be admitted to the said course unless she / he has applied to the Principal of Sophia Nursing College, Gwalior on the prescribed form.
  • Merit list will be prepared on the basis of the marks obtained in the written test as well as the marks obtained in 10+2.
  • The decision of the Selection Committee will be final.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT -
10+2 class passed
or its equivalent preferabley —
Science (Physics, Chemisry with aggregate - 45% Marks)

Admission Procedure

Admission form cum information Brochure can be obtained directly from the office by paying Rs. 300/- in cash and in case of outstation student a demand draft Rs. Rs. 350/- should be sent favouring "Sophia Nursing College" payable at Gwalior.

Documents to be submitted at the time of admission.

  • Transfer Certificate (Original Copy)
  • Migration Certificate (Original Copy)
  • Eligibility Certificate (From University)
  • Qualifying Certificate Copy (Original Copies)
  • Five Passport Size Photographs

At the time of admission to the said course, a candidate will have to pay the prescribed fees to get her/himself enrolled for the council of the state and submit all the certificates as required by the university. The academic session of the college will be ordinarily for July / August every year.

The examination shall be conducted by the Jiwaji Unviersity, Gwalior. Candidate shall be required to attended at least 75% Theory Lectures and 85% attendance in Practicals and Clinical Postings. The procedure of examination will be in the form of terminals, half yearly, pre university followed by university examination. All the four years of university examination.


Please read carefully

  • Students are required to deposit the fee and other charges as per fee structure in the month of July, 15th every year. Those students who did not deposit the fee by 15th July are liable to pay fine as decided by the management.
  • The remaining mess charges for 4½ month shall also to be depoist along with other fees by 15th January every year.
  • University examination fee shall have to pay separetely at the time of filling University examination form.
  • University enrollment fee & eligibility certificate fee shall have to pay at the time of admission.
  • If the students are being posted at J.A.H. Group of Hospital, Gwalior as per their specialty of that year, they will have to deposit Rs. 5000/- per session.
  • Students are required to give an agreement in the shape of a bond for the payment of total amount of fee and other charges for the whole course i.e. payable for 4 yrs. course of B.Sc. (Nursing). Thus, if students discontinued the course in the middle, he / she is liable to pay the balance of amount of fee and other charges of the whole course to the college.
  • The management reserve the right to amend or charge the fee structure at any time
