An Institute is a centre of learning and knowledge.
It is a place where students from all the corners of the country
come to become something by cultivating and developing their
inherent moral and intellectual qualities and prepare them
to take place in human society.
True education consists in building character and culture.
It refines the taste and elevates the spiritual status of
our personality. Education gives us a wider outlook, deeper
sympathy and keener insight, teaches us to devote our energies
to that for which we are most fit and to choose the work most
congenial to us. It saves us from a number of pitfalls and
makes us aware of our limitations and shortcomings. This should
not be disheartening as it makes us aware to overcome our
limitations. Thus education is not only to give us knowledge,
but also to remove the dirt of vulgar passion and prejudices,
so that the vision of our soul becomes cleaner and brighter
and it brings forth the best in us and in doing so we feel
that God is realizing Himself in us.
Now with the boom in the education sector and with the globalisation
of the world economy, the meaning of education had become
something more than merely to produce men of culture.
The Institutes are now required to produce skilled and technical
hands and professionals with practical mind who become useful
economic units of the Nation. The problem of over population,
adulterated food, unhygienic living conditions, invention
of weapons of destruction and sweep in the transportation
had given birth to many of the deadly diseases, which have
increased the suffering of mankind. This has resulted in the
increased demand of medical professionals, hospitals, nursing
homes and also skilled nursing professionals. Thus we see
a huge rising demand of nursing professionals in India and
abroad.
Science has made life easier for men and women. There are
so many miracles of science which may bring in boon or destruction
depending on its use or misuse.
Nowadays after IT revolution, there is a high demand for biotechnology.
The new technological revolution in the offing with immediate
commercial applications. The shares of biotech companies are
booming and in near future biotechnology will contribute extensively
to provide us with a better breed of crops, animals and possibly
even human beings. Thus providing a lot of new avenues and
career opportunities to our young and scientific brains.
But we should not forget that despite all the glare of today's
global policies actual and real knowledge is that which is
designed for salvation and for the development of our soul.
So dear students I invite you all to join Sophia Institute
of Medical and Science and become a productive member of our
group. Here we transform your personality readily to face
the challenges of tomorrow by your spiritual and moral building
